A Note on Owning a Small Business:
Small business owners have the privilege of being their own boss, sure, but do you know that they are also their own marketing department? We are our own public relations, production, IT, editing, culling, customer service, accounting, and creative departments, too.
We take on all of these roles to bring you quality content in hopes – just hopes – that you take a chance on us; that you get to know what we represent and what we offer (the best that you can through a computer screen). Ultimately, we hope that you try our services or products.
In this business all you have is your word and your work and that is your worth. I’ll say it again: Your word and your work is your worth.
So, if I seem a wee bit busy sometimes, I am scheduling photoshoots, building relationships with my customers, procuring props, tik-toking, creating content for social media, designing my webpages and merchandise, generating contracts, sending emails, making swag bags, all while working full time, producing quality photography work, delivering on my promises, and showing up with a smile. 😊 ‘Cuz that’s just how I roll. 😉
Many of us are blessed to have unpaid assistants: our spouse, mothers, fathers, and friends are our biggest supporters—you know who you are and I couldn’t be more thankful to be on this journey with you.
